Thomas is a registered architect with over 20 years of accomplished professional experience in a variety of building types and construction classifications focusing on comprehensive service for discriminating clients. After receiving a bachelor’s degree in architecture at the University Of Arkansas School Of Architecture in 1993, Tom started his career working as an intern architect in Santa Fe, New Mexico. While working in Santa Fe, Tom learned to balance the delicate relationship between strong regional architecture and modern requirements and techniques. Emphasizing detail, scale, and mass, the southwestern design approach became the foundation of Tom’s professional experience. After gaining experience in residential, commercial and light industrial design and construction, Tom accepted a position in Vail, Colorado that concentrated primarily on speculative and custom residential work. It was here that Tom learned the importance of a design approach and site response. Careful attention to views, function, and aesthetic would be required in the small mountain town that closely controls development. Since 2001, Thomas has been practicing in Dallas, Texas his hometown.
